ANITA FOLEY

I have always loved arts and crafts. I like to draw and paint and make things. When I was about 12 years old my mom taught me how to sew and my grandmother taught me how to crochet. I've been creating handmade items ever since! Over the years I've tried knitting, needlepoint, embroidery, quilting, drawing, painting, jewelry making, scrapbooking and card making.

When my kids were little and I was a stay-at-home mom, I supplemented our income by selling my handmade items through a craft consignment shop. It was the first time I tried to sell any of my crafts, and I was pleasantly surprised when people actually bought them! I always thought a craft co-op was a good idea and decided to create one on the Internet. Hence, Diamond Girl Crafts was born.

      ROSALIE PERCOPO

Rosalie Percopo is my Mom! Everything I know about handmade, I learned from her. She's a wonderful seamstress, and worked in a garment factory before she married my Dad back in 1950.

Mom made the dress she wore to my wedding. She also made the bridesmaids dresses for all of us for my sister, Sandra's wedding. She's a whiz with a crochet hook, and she makes our baby sweater sets. We were all very lucky to have beautiful, handmade crocheted baby outfits for our kids when they were little.

A former New Yorker, Rosalie now lives in Palm Coast, Florida.

            SANDRA REYNOLDS

Sandra Reynolds is my sister. Former owner of The Secret Garden in Jamestown, Rhode Island, she is now a teacher at Jamestown Middle School. Sandra loves gardening and you can always find her working outside in her yard. She creates beautiful flower arrangements and, in her spare time, makes the handmade cards for our "Cardjoodle" collection.

 DORIS MACKAY

While recovering from a recent mastectomy, 85 year old Doris Mackay started painting little birdhouses for her great grandchildren. Now she sells them to just about everyone who sees them! We're happy to sell them through our craft co-op too!

Doris has always enjoyed working with her hands. She has created many handmade items over the years, including hand carved birds and animals.

Dori lives in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
